bleacherreport released their 2026-27 NBA power rankings, and the Nuggets moved up one spot from the previous years rankings, despite recently trading one of their young stars, Peyton Watson. Shortly after trading Watson, the Nuggets added NBA veteran DeMar DeRozan in hopes to bolster their guard depth and two-way play. The BR article exclaims that DeRozan is a “better scorer than Watson right now” which means the Nuggets may actually see immidiate improvement following these late offseason moves. Regardless of how the offseason went for Denver, their starting-five in Nikola Jokić, Aaron Gordon, Cameron Johnson, Jamal Murray, and Christian Braun is one of the best in the league. If non-Jokić minutes can be managed effectively, the Nuggets will be destined for another strong season!
