Rescuers are battling dangerous conditions to reopen the main route to Gyirong border port in southwest China after a deadly mudslide cut the road linking China and Nepal. The disaster followed a catastrophic glacier collapse in northern Nepal, sending ice, rock, mud and water across the border region. At Gyirong Port, 16 people have been confirmed dead and 546 remain missing, according to the regional government. In Nepal, the death toll has risen to 903, with more than 4,200 people still missing. #China #Nepal #Gyirong #Mudslide #GlacierCollapse #Rescue
