MPs and former justice secretaries have warned that criminals previously deemed a danger to society will be freed from jail under the Prime Minister's early release plans.
Both Labour and Tory ministers have refused to abolish the controversial sentences of imprisonment for public protection in the past because of the potential risks of freeing dangerous prisoners.
Speaking to GB News Breakfast, Labour's Alex Davies Jones, Minister for Victims and Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls, said the Government's proposals are enough to support victims.
