I have always been a Will Warren fan, so to see him come up big in what was considered to be the biggest game of the year so far, I’m happy for him. Sometimes Warren looks like he’s the second coming of Justin Verlander. Other times he’s out of the game in the fourth, and all of a sudden the opposing lineup has a crooked number on the board. Today, though, he was Mini JV, and right about now, Roman Anthony is on a bus or a plane wishing he was still back on the IL. Beating the Red Sox is important — always has been. Embarrassing them is just* chef’s kiss*. Obviously, the ultimately goal is winning a World Series, but if embarrassing Boston is a stepping stone, it’ll be a fun thing to look back on for the World Series DVD.
