Took my name off the start list for 70.3 Worlds in Nice Two main reasons: 1. Was never reeeaally planning on racing. I wanted to go IF I was swimming better this year, but I’m not. The hard truth is that I’m just not good enough at swim+bike+run to go and get a good result yet 2. I’m in Slovakia with @varga_triathlon // @varga_triathlon_academy doing a very swim focused camp and pulling back heavily on the bike and run. Going to Nice would’ve meant leaving a week early and I’d rather get the extra days in the water learning from the best swimmer in the history of the sport. Making some really good progress with Richard and the method is more or less learning freestyle from scratch. It’s hard work, more-so cognitively than physically, but when I watch the video in slide 2 (a 50m rep in 35”) I see a completely different athlete already.
