Ryan Marsden has been selected to lead SFU's new men’s volleyball program as it prepares for its inaugural season in 2027-28. A nationally recognized coach with more than 25 years of experience, Marsden has led athletes and teams at the youth, post-secondary and international levels, including coaching roles with Canada’s men’s national B and junior national team programs. A three-time ACAC Coach of the Year and former CCAA Coach of the Year, Marsden has also played a key role in athlete development across Alberta, helping guide the province to its first-ever Canada Games gold medal in men’s volleyball.
