Did you know this was Young Nudy’s voice? 😂💯 “Rich Flex” opens with something most listeners assume was scripted for the track, but it wasn’t. The intro and outro come straight from a Genius lyric breakdown video, where 21 Savage’s cousin Young Nudy was explaining the meaning behind his song “Since When.” Producers pulled his spoken commentary directly from that interview and used it to frame the entire record, turning an off the cuff explanation into one of the most quoted openings in recent rap history. Beyond that sample, “Rich Flex” also pulls from T.I.’s “24’s,” Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage,” Public Enemy’s “Shut ‘Em Down,” and even a horror movie score, “Nora’s Transformation” from Invasion of the Bee Girls. It’s a case study in how Drake and 21 Savage build atmosphere from unexpected sources, not just obvious hits. #rapmusic #drake #youngnudy #21savage
