Which pull-up form is correct?đ
Both.
Theyâre just done differently.
One uses a closer grip. The other uses a wider grip. In these two examples, neither is wrong.
Some people simply feel stronger and more comfortable with one than the other.
It can depend on your arm length, anatomy, training background, and what your body is used to.
A wider grip does shorten the range of motion. Thatâs one reason youâll often see high-level athletes use a wider grip when theyâre trying to get a lot of reps.
But for normal training?
Both work. Both are correct.
Your pull-up doesnât need to look exactly like someone elseâs to be a good pull-up.
