How To Do Weighted Chin Ups | Correct Technique
Key technique points:
• You need a dip belt, weight and a straight bar, plus a box to step up and set your grip
• Keep the weight between your legs so it does not swing, then step down into a hang
• Pull with your elbows close to your body, driving them down and back, chin over the bar
• Stay active at the bottom, and start light while you find the grip width that suits you
Weighted Chin Ups train the lats, biceps and upper back, and adding load is how you keep progressing once bodyweight chin ups stop being hard.
