Yayoi Kusama, the Japanese avant-garde artist famed for her colourful polka dots and immersive Infinity Mirror Rooms, has died aged 97. Kusama died at a hospital in Tokyo on August 14, with her company confirming the news and saying she continued painting until her final days.
