i am constantly telling myself not to compare my path with others. a lot of us know that’s easier said than done.
your path may not get you to your desired tax bracket or state of achievement as quickly as the next person, but —
did they get to experience more than one career path?
did they get to move back home and reconnect with their family?
did they get to experience working 2 or 3 “odd” jobs and develop high-yielding, transferable skills for life?
did they get to learn from as many “mistakes” as you did?
maybe they did, maybe they didn’t.
but that’s the point.
the scenic route shows you more.
it exposes you to people, places, experiences, skills, and lessons you may have never encountered if everything went according to plan.
the shorter route isn’t necessarily better.
the scenic route isn’t necessarily worse.
neither is the “right” path.
they’re just different ways of getting there.✨
