September might just be one of the best months of the year to travel. Summer isn’t quite over, but the busiest weeks are behind us. Across Europe, the Mediterranean is still warm, the mountains are quieter, harvest season is beginning, and some of the year’s biggest cultural events are taking place. Here’s where to travel this September: ☀️ Late Summer in Europe The Dolomites are particularly beautiful at this time of year, with cooler hiking weather and quieter trails after the height of summer. In Milos, the sea is still beautifully warm, but the August crowds begin to disappear. Further south, Bodrum is perfect for stretching out summer, with warm Aegean seas, long lunches and a slower pace once the peak crowds begin to leave. 🍇 Harvest Season September is one of our favourite times to experience European wine country.
