Here’s a peek into a 12-day Peru journey we designed for four friends who wanted a real adventure, with the logistics taken care of from start to finish. Their trip began in Lima before heading into the Sacred Valley, where a luxury hacienda-style retreat gave them time to settle into the Andes before the main event. Then came four days and three nights on the Inca Trail with their incredible local guide. They hiked through high Andean landscapes, lush cloud forest, ancient pathways and archaeological sites, all leading towards the ultimate finale…Machu Picchu! After three nights on the trail, we made sure the next part of the trip was deliberately slower. They returned to the Sacred Valley, where their luggage was already waiting, before moving on to a peaceful casita-style stay for some very well-earned downtime. From there, the group’s plans split.
