Short form and long form voice work require completely different kinds of discipline. In an audiobook or e-learning course that runs hours, your voice, energy, and character choices have to match across sessions recorded days apart. Professionals keep a character bible: a written reference for each voice's pitch, pace, accent notes, and emotional default. They also record a reference clip at the start of every session and play it back before rolling to recalibrate. Without something anchoring the character, drift happens gradually and is hard to catch in the moment.
