“PINK SCAR” — ONE OF ONE. A recent custom commission created for Living Lux Home Magazine livingluxemagazine 48” × 72” mixed media artwork, designed and built entirely from the ground up. The foundation is a custom hand built wooden canvas and frame, finished in a three tone pink limewash with a matte layer of diamond dust. Floating above the surface is a full size transparent acrylic glass panel featuring one of the most iconic scenes from “Scarface” Tony Montana seated behind his desk reimagined entirely through different tones of pink. The acrylic is elevated away from the limewashed canvas using satin black offset hardware, creating separation between the layers and giving the artwork a true sense of depth. From different angles, the transparency, diamond dust, limewash texture and floating acrylic interact with the light completely differently. One piece. Multiple layers. One of one.
