On September 2, 2001, Michael Schumacher made Formula 1 history at Spa-Francorchamps. His victory at the Belgian Grand Prix was win number 52, breaking Alain Prost’s long-standing record of 51. Prost had held the mark since 1987, when he matched Jackie Stewart’s 27 wins, and kept adding to it until his retirement in 1993. Schumacher’s triumph in Belgium cemented his place as the sport’s most successful driver at that time. #Formula1RD
