Luca Comaratta ’27 was selected for this year’s "Supreme Court & My Hometown” program, an initiative of the United States District Court for the Western District of New York, the Supreme Court Historical Society and the Robert H. Jackson Center. The Hometowns Program, which runs through this fall, is an immersive, in-person program that unites the court, bar, and community to foster civic education in high school students. The Western District’s 2026 Hometowns Program will focus on Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, a Western New York native, and his seminal First Amendment opinion in West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette. Buffalo’s downtown federal court is named for Jackson: The Robert H.
