🌿✨ Finding lost memories from the early days of Herbs on the Hill…
I recently found three old photographs I hadn’t seen in decades. 📸
One was of our first big workshop — a converted cow barn outside Bath, where we made everything by hand.
Another was our shop in The Corridor, Bath, with my granny behind the counter chatting to Sue. ❤️
It took me straight back to 1996, when my mum lent me £400 to buy ingredients and we’d pile into my friend Viv’s little VW, packed to the roof with products, boxes and branches, heading off to Corn Street Market in Bristol. ✨
Within that first year we’d gone from one little market stall to selling in Bristol, Oxford, Cardiff and Camden — then opening shops in Bath, Brighton and London.
Then Frankincense Cream took off, the mail orders started pouring in… and somehow that little £400 beginning became Herbs on the Hill.
And now, 30 years later, we’re still here. 🌿💛
If you remember us from those early days, I’d LOVE to hear your HOTH memories bel...
