The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office proudly recognizes Deputy Johnson as the September Employee of the Month for his outstanding professionalism, dedication, and commitment to the safety and well-being of others. A member of the Sheriff’s Office since August 2008, Deputy Sheriff Johnson currently serves in Arrest Processing on A-Shift and consistently demonstrates a willingness to assist others while maintaining a calm, professional approach in every situation. Deputy Sheriff Johnson’s professionalism and de-escalation skills were demonstrated on March 17, 2026, when he successfully calmed an agitated individual in the front lobby of Arrest Processing who had become confrontational with deputies. His ability to communicate effectively and remain composed prevented the situation from escalating.
