i had a lot of OTHERIZING experiences while growing up in the Chinese community in America that I allowed to shape the way I viewed myself and make me think the chinese diaspora would never accept me. this manifested in me believing that my family in china would want nothing to do with me, so much so, that when i lived in shanghai in my early 20’s i didn’t even bother reaching out because i was sure i’d be REJECTED but boy oh boy was I WRONG 🤗 . #blasian #identitycrisis #selflove #mixed #chinese seescandies
