“E lele le toloa ae ma’au i le vai.” 🕊️🌊🏡
No matter where the bird flies, it always returns to the water.
After 35 years, Samoa’s iconic festival enters a new chapter. Samoa’s Teuila Festival has officially rebranded to the Measina Festival, shifting the event from standard tourism toward a deeper celebration of Samoan arts, living traditions, and cultural heritage.
Samoa Tourism Authority CEO Niumata Kitiona Pogi speaks on why this rebrand matters:
“You can get nice hotels and nice beaches anywhere in the Pacific, what you don’t get is our unique personalities... It’s about reconnecting our people with our roots, while welcoming our visitors and treating them like family.”
Whether you’re living in the diaspora or visiting for the first time, the Measina Festival is an open invitation to come home, reconnect, and celebrate our culture. 🇼🇸
