He is bringing his Samoan heritage with him. With roots from Leone, Nu’uuli, and Samatau, Coach Pritchard shared how the Samoan concept of “teu le vā” shapes the way he leads. The concept speaks to nurturing, caring for, and valuing the space and relationships between people. For Coach Pritchard, “nurturing the vā” means being intentional about building strong spiritual, emotional, and relational connections between his players and staff.
