A bank safe was swept away by the devastating floods from Rasuwa and carried downstream along the Trishuli River to Dhading. Locals allegedly broke open the damaged safe and took the cash inside. Nepal Police later detained 29 people and recovered NPR 92,68,505 (about ₹58 lakh) from them. Police are still investigating the ownership of the cash, how much money was originally inside the safe, and whether any amount remains unaccounted for.
