When the sun disappears, the desert begins to glow. Since 2016, in the spiritual heart of Australia, more than 50,000 spheres of light have bloomed from the red earth beneath Uluru. This is Field of Light, Bruce Munro’s breathtaking installation, inspired by the powerful connection he felt with this ancient landscape. Thousands of soft, coloured lights, entirely powered by solar energy, transform the desert as darkness falls. By day, Uluru dominates the horizon. By night, it feels as though the stars have fallen from the sky and taken root in the desert.
