A photographer in Barcelona lined up a shot most people only get once in a lifetime, catching a glowing full moon rising directly behind the Sagrada Familia as it climbed above the city skyline.
The basilica was officially inaugurated on June 10, 2026, a date chosen to mark 100 years since Gaudí’s death. Work still continues inside the tower and on the Glory facade, which is why cranes are still standing over Gaudí’s masterpiece.
