Introducing two new ways to make an impact with CIEE! ✨️ ☀️ This August, our Mérida center welcomed its inaugural cohort of high school students as we launched our Good Neighbor programs, Good Neighbor Kitchen and Good Neighbor PlayLab. Students explored their interests while connecting with and giving back to the local community. Through Good Neighbor Kitchen, students learned culinary skills from local professionals, prepared a meal from scratch, and shared it with children in the Mérida community. Meanwhile, Good Neighbor PlayLab gave students the chance to explore early childhood education and storytelling before creating costumes and props for a special story time inspired by a Mayan folk tale. These 10-day experiences helped students build real-world skills, make meaningful connections, and create an impact beyond the classroom. 🌏 And this is just the beginning!
