A workplace view that can’t be beat! On Tuesday, Sept. 1, Astro_Jessica and Soph_astro stepped outside of the ISS to install and upgrade parts on the outside of the orbiting lab. These two views were captured from the inside and outside of the International Space Station. You may have seen this spacewalk titled "U.S. Spacewalk 99," but what does that really mean? While this was the 284th spacewalk ever performed on the space station, it was only the 99th done in NASA spacesuits out of the station’s Quest airlock. U.S. Spacewalk 99 marks the seventh that Jessica Meir has performed, ranking her third in highest number of spacewalks done by a woman at NASA, behind Peggy Whitson (10) and Suni Williams (9).
