The time has come 🚀   Our Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is ready to launch on Aug. 30, 2026, from NASAKennedy in Florida – and you can watch it happen live. Join us here on Instagram for our live broadcast, which begins at 6:20 a.m. EDT (1020 UTC). Liftoff is scheduled for 7:26 a.m. EDT (1126 UTC).   After launch, Roman will look at billions of cosmic objects to explore how planets, stars, and galaxies form and develop over time. The data it gathers will help settle essential questions in the areas of dark energy, exoplanets, and infrared astrophysics.   Credit: NASA   #NASA #Launch #Live   Image description: NASA’s Roman Space Telescope, encapsulated in a white fairing that has the Roman logo and NASA meatball insignia on it, stands atop the white Falcon Heavy rocket, a tall white cylinder with two massive boosters on either side. The spacecraft and rocket are seen on the launch pad at sunrise, in a slightly dim, mystical light.
