Engineers and designers sometimes use the silkscreen layer, normally reserved for component labels and assembly markings, to hide small jokes, illustrations, references, or messages. These are known as engineering Easter eggs and are usually added simply for fun, giving the people who designed or assembled the hardware a way to leave their mark. Because the markings are often tiny and covered by components once a board is assembled, many of them remain unnoticed for years. Want more interesting content like this ?
