This might be the greatest writing routine of all time šā
ā
James Bond creator Ian Fleming reportedly followed a seriously structured daily routine while writing at his Jamaican home, Goldeneye.ā
ā
His day would begin at 7.30am with an ocean swim and breakfast before he sat down at 10am to write 1,500 words. By 12.15pm, it was time to snorkel for lobsters and have a couple of pink gins with lunch, followed by a 90 minute siesta.ā
ā
Fleming would return to writing at 5pm for another 500 words before having a couple of drinks, then dinner and Scrabble with his wife Ann at 7pm. Bedtime was apparently 10pm.ā
ā
2,000 words, two swims, a siesta and a few drinks. Quite the schedule šā
