Newly minted Procter & Gamble CEO Shailesh Jejurikar’s pay nearly doubled when he was promoted to the top job at the manufacturer of Pampers diapers and Tide detergent, according to a government filing.
Jejurikar, 59, who assumed the helm of the Cincinnati-based consumer products giant on Jan. 1 was paid $17.9 million in the firscal year ended June 30 – a 94.5% increase from the previous year when he was paid $9.2 million as the chief operating officer, the company’s No. 2 executive, according to proxy filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The pay bump for P&G’s CEO contrasted sharply with the earnings of its median worker who saw their compensation drop 13.7% or nearly $11,000 from about $79,500 in 2025 to $68,600 in 2026, the company disclosed.
