I don’t think the answer is to dream smaller. I still want to build things that matter. I still want to see how far I can take baseball. I still have a pretty clear picture of the person and life I’m working toward. I’m just learning that there’s a difference between giving everything you have to something and believing your life needs it to work out. Some of the things I wanted most didn’t happen. At the time, that felt like the story going wrong. Looking back, some of those moments just took the story somewhere I couldn’t see yet. So dream big. Work hard. Want things badly.
