Akron RubberDucks outfielder Ryan Cesarini was named Eastern League Player of the Month for August.
Cesarini hit .356/.406/.805 during the month while leading the Eastern League in home runs (11), RBI (25), total bases (70), slugging percentage and OPS (1.211).
He was second in the EL in batting average and hits (31) while ranking third in runs scored (21). He had 10 multi-hit games during the month, including a career-high four hit game against Harrisburg on August 23 at 7 17 Credit Union Park. He also posted three multi-home run games during the month.
Cesarini earned Eastern League Player of the Week honors during Week 20 (Aug. 10-16). During that week, he picked up nine hits in four games played against the Altoona Curve batting .474 (9-for-19) with six home runs and 11 RBI. He led the Eastern League during the week in batting average, home runs, RBI, slugging percentage (1.421), OPS (1.921), hits, extra-base hits (six) and total bases (27).
