John Cena says he accepts that his heel turn failed, and he wouldn't change a thing. On WrestleRant with Graham Matthews, Cena said the turn worked from a business standpoint, with sold-out shows and strong viewership, but he understands the creative criticism. He said he would have loved the time to "literally ruin wrestling" and have a hero thwart him, but that wasn't possible in the window he had. He also said that if they had never done it, the what-if would have been material for writers forever, and now there's a real answer. Cena said the turn was Paul Levesque's idea and he agreed in two seconds, the same way he said yes to facing Brock Lesnar and tapping out to Gunther. He said the same about the criticism of his final match. "A lot of folks will say, 'The heel turn failed.'
