As September 11 approaches, remembrance can become something we do.
Serve a neighbor.
Care for a local memorial.
Support the people who serve your community.
Gather your pack or troop for a project.
Find a need in your hometown - and help meet it.
This year, the 25th anniversary of 9/11 is one of Scouting America’s highlighted service opportunities through Impact365.
There isn’t one “right” way for every Scout to participate. The most meaningful service starts with a simple question: “How can we make things better for those around us?”
This month, let’s honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. More than reflection or rememberance alone, let’s do something that Scouts do so very well: help other people.
For inspiration and more details, read the recent “On Scouting” blog post at the link in our bio (or at
OnScouting.org). Then, tell us how you have served in September in the past and/or how your Scout unit plans to serve this month.
