Lois Barclay Murphy (1902-2003) was an American developmental psychologist. She earned a doctorate from #colulmbia in 1937. She worked at Sarah Lawrence college where she launched Early Childhood Center. She convinced skeptical funding agencies about the importance of funding research on child development.
