The Central Michigan volleyball team fell to Oakland Wednesday, Sep. 2 during their home opener at McGuirk Arena. The Chippewas are now 0-4 as they approach the Heart of the Mitt Invitational this weekend. ⁠ ⁠ "It doesn't matter what the outcome is. It's more about us buildng," head coach Arielle Wilson said. ⁠ ⁠ Sophomore outside hitter Taylor Cripe tallied 16 kills, two blocks and seven digs. Freshman middle blocker Brenna Storz added 10 kills and four block assists. Sophomore setter Brytn Lyon recorded 31 assists and two aces. ⁠ ⁠ CMU volleyball will stay at McGuirk Arena for the remainder of the week, taking on Illinois State on Friday, Sept. 4 and Saturday, Sept. 5 at 4 p.m. and noon, respectively.
