Save this for your next outdoor event! 🎈
Outdoor balloon installs come with a few realities. Heat, direct sunlight, wind, and weather can all affect your balloons.
Once temperatures reach 79°F and above, oxidation, shrinking, popping, and deflation can happen much faster. In direct sunlight, high quality balloons can typically last 4–6 hours, which is usually the length of an event. Your balloons should last for the event, not overnight, not the next day, simply for the event.
BONUS TIP: If it’s very windy on installation day, add balloon water weights throughout your garland, color blocked, of course! This gives your garland extra weight and helps keep it from blowing around.
What’s a water weight? Simply fill a 17” or 18” balloon with 16 oz of water, tie it off, and add it throughout your garland for extra weight and stability.
Outdoor installs are all about preparation, quality balloons, and realistic expectations! 🎈
