Running square on an E46 M3 isn't a compromise, it's the upgrade BMW didn't sell you. The factory stagger exists because the marketing department liked how it looked from the rear three-quarter, not because the chassis asked for it. The recipe if you're actually doing this: 1. 18x9.5 +22 all four corners, 5x120, 72.5 hubcentric. That's the number. 255/35 or 265/35 depending on how much sidewall you want protecting your lips. 2. Square means you can rotate. On the factory 18x8 +47 front / 18x9 +26 rear you're buying rears twice as often and pretending that's normal. Four matching tires is cheaper than two sets of two. 3.
