A twin-screw supercharger makes boost at 2,000 rpm. A turbo waits for the exhaust — and that one sentence decides your entire build. Roots and twin-screw blowers are belted to the crank, so torque is instant, but you rent that boost with crank horsepower and heat soak, which is why the serious kits run air-to-water. A turbo scavenges energy that was already leaving, so it's cheaper per horsepower — until you price the oil feed, the gravity drain, the wastegate and the hot-side clearance. Centrifugals split the difference the wrong way for the street. Team twin-screw or team single turbo, and name the road you actually drive.
