Very mindful. 🎾😂 But in all seriousness, after everything that’s been said about influencers at the US Open this week, I do think some of the responsibility falls on brands too. If you’re inviting creators into spaces with established rules and etiquette, especially sporting events, there should be clear expectations for how to behave once you’re there. And creators also have a responsibility to educate themselves, be professional and respect the event they’ve been invited into. I don’t think the answer is getting rid of influencers at sporting events. Creators can bring new audiences and a completely different perspective to sports. But influencer culture at these events could probably use a little… taming. 😂 You can get the content AND still respect the athletes, fans and people around you. Tonight was actually a great example.
