Taking inspiration from dark-tinged teen films like ‘Carrie’ and ‘Jennifer’s Body,’ Netflix’s ‘The Body’ (November 11), follows a group of Catholic school girls grappling with spooky visions and a ritual grown awry. Starring an ensemble cast of YA favorites like Sofia Wylie, plus ‘Traitors’ and ‘Bachelorette’ alum Gabby Windey, ‘The Body’ will certainly thrust #MarcelRuiz (@itsmarcelruiz) into the spotlight. The Puerto Rican actor first came on the scene in the four-season family comedy ‘One Day at a Time,’ and he currently stars in ‘Summer of Three,’ which earned two prestigious awards at the 2026 Tribeca Film Festival. On the horizon, catch him in the horror flick ‘4x4: The Event’ with Sophia Lillis, Jaden Smith, Dylan Minnette, and Jacob Tremblay.
