Walk up to Heptonstall village, the final resting place of Sylvia Plath, the American author and poet. Enjoy homemade Thai food at the Cross Inn, a historic 17th century village pub and public house. Either take the steepesttt walk up or get the bus which is only £1.75 for a single ticket.
