An Arizona man is in federal custody, accused of transporting a minor across state lines for sexual activity, and records show he had a documented history with child welfare agencies in two states before those charges were filed.
Brian Griffeth’s former foster daughter, now 18 and identified in court records as Jane Doe, told investigators the abuse began when she was 13 while she was living with the family in Florence, Arizona. She says it continued until she was removed from their Florida home in July 2025.
According to FOX 10 Phoenix, Griffeth and his family previously faced child abuse charges in Florida in 2025. The state attorney’s office there declined to prosecute the case, citing weak evidence. Records reviewed by the station also document a history with child protective agencies across both Arizona and Florida.
He is now facing federal charges. He has not been convicted.
