A Buckeye man was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison after repeatedly aiming lasers at U.S. Air Force F-35 fighter jets training near Luke Air Force Base. ✈️🔦 Federal officials say 56-year-old William Wilson targeted military aircraft multiple times between September 2024 and January 2025. On January 8, an FBI surveillance plane tracked the laser strikes back to Wilson’s home, and pilots aboard the FBI plane and two F-35s were hit by the lasers. Investigators later found red and green laser pointers at his home. Wilson admitted he had aimed lasers at aircraft on several occasions. He was indicted on four federal counts and later pleaded guilty to two. Officials warn that pointing a laser at an aircraft is extremely dangerous and can result in federal prosecution. Wilson was sentenced to 10 months in prison. #Arizona #BuckeyeAZ #LukeAFB #ArizonaNews #F35
