Arizona isn’t feeling so affordable anymore 😳💸🌵
A new affordability ranking from the Common Sense Institute puts Arizona 45th in the nation, making it one of the 7 least affordable places in the country when comparing household income to essential expenses.
Arizona ranked 33rd back in 2019.
According to the report, Arizona households are left with about 19.6% of their gross income after taxes and necessities, compared with nearly 25% nationwide.
Housing remains one of the biggest factors, along with rising costs for groceries, insurance, transportation and childcare.
Even with home prices cooling from their peak, Arizona housing remains significantly more expensive than it was before the pandemic.
