A 16-year-old girl is in critical condition following a multi-vehicle crash at 51st Avenue and Bell Road in northwest Phoenix. According to the Phoenix Fire Department, crews were dispatched around 11 p.m. to the intersection. Four people were involved in the crash, and one had to be extricated from a vehicle. All four were transported to hospitals. In addition to the 16-year-old, a 17-year-old girl, an adult man and an adult woman were hospitalized in stable condition. At least three damaged vehicles were at the scene, with debris scattered across the intersection. The intersection was closed in all directions while crews worked. The Phoenix Police Department has taken over the collision investigation and is working to determine what caused the crash. No cause has been released and no one has been identified.
