A Superstition Fire & Medical District employee resigned after Mesa police arrested him on suspicion of DUI while he was off duty and driving a district vehicle. The district says it learned about the incident on August 28 and immediately placed the employee on administrative leave while it began a formal investigation. He resigned before that investigation was completed. Mesa police identified the employee as Jeffrey Cranmer and said the arrest happened at an In-N-Out near Signal Butte Road and U.S. 60. In a statement, Superstition Fire & Medical said it understood the concern and disappointment the incident may have caused and that the reported conduct did not reflect the district’s values or the professionalism of its personnel. The district also said it holds employees to high standards both on and off duty. No injuries were reported. Cranmer has not been convicted. #Mesa #ApacheJunction #Arizona #ArizonaNews #DownInnaDesert
