Nvidia just launched PAIR, an open source tool designed to turn multiple computers into a shared local AI compute network. Instead of relying on one machine, PAIR can connect compatible Windows, Linux and macOS devices and distribute AI workloads across their available CPU and GPU resources. That opens up some interesting possibilities. You could potentially run larger local models, spread demanding tasks across several devices and keep more sensitive work off the cloud. For developers, researchers and privacy-conscious users, that is a meaningful shift. We talk a lot about giant AI data centers. But the next layer of AI infrastructure may also be much smaller and much closer to home. #Nvidia #LocalAI #OpenSourceAI #ArtificialIntelligence #MacroSift
