❗️BREAKING❗️ This Thursday, the Center for Biological Diversity is taking the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to court to FREEZE its disastrous land swap with SpaceX.
Earlier this summer, USFWS agreed to give SpaceX precious land in the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife Refuge in exchange for smaller land parcels scattered across the region. The company plans to conduct destructive and explosive rocket launch tests. We’ve already sued to stop it.
But SpaceX plans to start construction in this crucial habitat as early as mid-September, long before any court has had time to rule on the land transfer’s legality.
This refuge provides prime habitat for multiple rare and endangered species, including ocelots, northern alpomado falcons, and orioles. It also provides vital support to nearby coastal populations of Kemp’s ridley sea turtles and piping plovers.
This Thursday, the Center is demanding a complete freeze of this land swap until the refuge has had its day in court. The...
